Curriculum Replacement with Open Content
I have been in search of a traditional classroom teacher or school who has decided to embrace open content as their core curriculum. I have seen virtual schools, hybrids, and blended learning environments who are fully immersed in open content, but very interested to see if a traditional classroom has replaced their Houghton Mifflins and Pearsons textbooks with content such as wikibooks. For example, wikibooks has a comprehensive open Algebra curriculum online that has lessons, quizzes, and tests covering what a traditional major publisher would offer.
I am also trying to aggregate some of the many open content curriculum resources that teachers can use to replace their traditional textbooks. If you have a link or resource, I would appreciate the comments. Thanks!
